We are excited to hear from the Forestry Department that they have ordered six new trees (three each) for the Tesla Court and Noble Court circles. Looks like we’re on schedule to have these planted by the end of May.
- What are they? Japanese Tree of Lilacs (photo representational)
- Pollinator and butterfly friendly
- Medium tall (20-30 feet tall and 15-20 feet wide at maturity)
- They meet the goal for privacy screening, but also allow a line of sight for traffic safety.
We have paid the invoices ($1,954) for meter installation; the city will coordinate with forestry on when the trees will be planted.
We will sign the contract with the landscaper this week and soon have a date for when work will begin on the surface irrigation elements.
