We were disappointed that we were not successful in our entreaty to the city to waive the PUD review and other documentation requirements.  In the interest of equity, the city must enforce municipal code requirements in a completely impartial and uniform manner, and even though sympathetic to our position they couldn’t accommodate our request. 

Given the prohibitive extra cost for city approval to reach our goal of an 8-foot height, we have determined it is in the HOA’s best interest to pivot and contract for a 7-foot fence, for which no permit will be required.
